Our cover shows the Red Lotus Lake which is in north east Thailand. The local people call it “Talay Buadaeng” and it covers 8,000 acres. The lake is very shallow, mostly not exceeding a depth of one meter, and the unique feature of this lake is the thousands of red lotus flowers that sprout and completely transform the surface of the lake between December and February.
