The Park is located in the northern Blue Mountains and Lower Hunter regions of New South Wales, in eastern Australia and is situated approximately 130 kilometres northwest of Sydney. The 501,703-hectare park, the second largest national park in New South Wales, contains the 361,113-hectare Wollemi Wilderness – the largest such wilderness area in Australia. The National Park is UNESCO World Heritage–listed. (see article page 3)
